AZVegan Voices
August Meeting

For more information on AZVegan Voices, click here.

The topic for August's meeting was animal experimentation.
Please send letters to the companies that continue to test their products on animals and let them know that you will not buy from them until they stop.  To personalize your letter and maybe get more attention for your letter, you could even include a picture of yourself with a cruelty-free competitor's product!  Or send a copy of a recent receipt from when you purchased a competitor's product.

You can use the following information in your letters:
Fact sheet on product testing: http://www.peta.org/mc/factsheet_display.asp?ID=91
Fact sheet on alternatives: http://www.peta.org/mc/factsheet_display.asp?ID=87

Quick letter-writing tips

  • Always be polite - people are much more likely to listen to you if you aren't yelling at them.  :)

  • Know your material - add in facts to support your views.

  • Use your own words - try to speak from the heart.

  • You don't have to write a lot - just make your point quickly and politely.  You can write a "standard" letter of your own and send versions of that same letter to as many contacts on the list as you want.
